Not a medical service

Tarang is a self-care companion. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose or treat any condition, and it does not replace a doctor, a counsellor or emergency care. Evidence labels describe published research on a practice in general, not what it will do for you.

If you are in danger right now, call 112. To talk to a trained counsellor, free, in many Indian languages, call Tele-MANAS on 14416.

Age

Tarang is for people aged 18 and over.

Licence

Tarang is provided free of charge for personal use on devices you own or are responsible for. You may not resell it, redistribute modified copies of it, or attempt to decompile or reverse engineer it except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted.

Helplines

Helpline numbers are shipped in the app so they work offline, and are kept up to date where we can. The services themselves are run by their own organisations; we do not run them and cannot promise they will answer at any given time.

Your data

What you log and write is stored only on your phone, and you are responsible for keeping it. We cannot recover it if the app is reset, uninstalled or the phone is lost; use Settings → Export my data if it matters to you.

Advertising

Tarang may show ads provided by Google AdMob, under Google’s own terms. They never appear on Support, in a session or anywhere you write.

No warranty

Tarang is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise that it will work on every phone, that every reminder will arrive, or that the app will be free of errors.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any lost data, any missed reminder, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Tarang. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and availability

We may update, change or discontinue Tarang or any of its features at any time.
